All other rooms are located in the basement. These include the
Basically, the rooms all house occupants, but in fact they are only for our tenants of apartments b and c, later also of the apartment a. Moreover, in a separate room, the electric meter for each apartment are installed with the main fuses.
Laundry room
In the cellar (under the kitchen of the right apartment on the ground floor) is the laundry room. There are two sturdy Miele washing machines, which are used exclusively by our tenants in rooms 1 to 9; other residents have installed their washing machine in their own apartment. The power consumption has to be paid for separately via coin-operated devices, after we found out that other IUBH students brought their laundry and used the machines at the expense of their flat mates. In addition to the two washing machines, there is also an electric tumble dryer, which means that the warm, humid air is blown outdoors.
Note: Not every piece of laundry needs to be dried in the dryer. This may be convenient, but it costs money – your money. Opposite the washing cellar there is a large drying room with many possibilities to hang up laundry for drying.
Drying room
In the basement under the room 3 of the apartment No. 1 on the ground floor and across from the laundry room is a large drying room. The drying system currently provides about 50 m line length. Since running in the space below the ceiling heating pipes of central heating, the room is quite warm. In addition, the space of two permanently open window, so the wet laundry dries fairly quickly. It is not necessary, to dry each part washed laundry with additional energy and money in the electric dryer in the laundry room.
